Brownie Cookies
Hey there, cookie enthusiasts! Today, I’m sharing a recipe that holds a special place in my heart. Back when I first started delving into the world of baking, I had a particular craving for brownies. It seemed like every time I visited a bakery, the brownies were flying off the shelves faster than I could blink. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create something that combines the best of both worlds: brownies and cookies. Thus, my journey into the realm of brownie chocolate cookies began. These cookies are rich, fudgy, and utterly irresistible. With a crackly exterior and a soft, gooey center, they are bound to satisfy even the most intense chocolate cravings. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to make, requiring just a few simple ingredients and minimal effort. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the recipe!
Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30-second intervals until fully melted. Allow it to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy your deliciously decadent brownie chocolate cookies with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Pro Tips
- For an extra indulgent treat, try adding chopped nuts or swirls of caramel sauce to the cookie dough before baking.
- Don’t overbake the cookies, as they will continue to cook slightly as they cool, and you want them to remain soft and chewy in the center.
- Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
