Brownie Cookies

Hey there, cookie enthusiasts! Today, I’m sharing a recipe that holds a special place in my heart. Back when I first started delving into the world of baking, I had a particular craving for brownies. It seemed like every time I visited a bakery, the brownies were flying off the shelves faster than I could blink. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create something that combines the best of both worlds: brownies and cookies. Thus, my journey into the realm of brownie chocolate cookies began. These cookies are rich, fudgy, and utterly irresistible. With a crackly exterior and a soft, gooey center, they are bound to satisfy even the most intense chocolate cravings. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to make, requiring just a few simple ingredients and minimal effort. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the recipe!

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30-second intervals until fully melted. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  6. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  9. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  11. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Enjoy your deliciously decadent brownie chocolate cookies with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Pro Tips

  • For an extra indulgent treat, try adding chopped nuts or swirls of caramel sauce to the cookie dough before baking.
  • Don’t overbake the cookies, as they will continue to cook slightly as they cool, and you want them to remain soft and chewy in the center.
  • Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
